I first met Anna a couple of years ago at an extended family photo session. I’d worked with her sister in the past, and their parents decided to bring everyone together for a multigenerational extended family shoot – one of my favorite things! Getting to know the family was a blast, and over the last couple of years I have had the privilege of photographing their family several times for various milestones. When I heard Anna was expecting, I was delighted to have the chance to document this moment for her and her husband! There’s something so special about the transition from being a couple to a family of three. When I arrived at their bright and cheery Manhattan apartment, the energy was calm and warm. Fresh food cooking in the kitchen, soft sunlight coming through the wall-to-wall windows, and a newborn baby sleeping serenely in a bassinet – a perfect weekday morning in the life of this brand new family!
